Hi,

I had the opportunity to play with one of these at Microsoft's booth at CES 2001.

The LCD display is SUPER SHARP. It's 640x480. FOUR times the resolution of an iPaq.

It is the sharpest commercial display ever produced. The dot pitch on this display is a mere 0.04 mm. Even the best Trinitron's don't get better than 0.22 mm. Black-and-white text are almost laser-sharp.

If you love reading e-books or documents, this is the best 4 inch display I've ever seen, bar none. The tiny fonts can be a pain to read, if you don't have good eyesight. If you do have good eyesight, you will be pleased to know that microprint is actually readable and not fuzzy on this PocketPC ePhone.

It's a bit too big for my needs. But, MAN, the display...

We saw this baby at CEBIT. The most beautiful thing is it has a screen covering 640x480 pixels.
But the screen has +/- the same size as my ipaq!

Read more on our website in our CeBIT review!

www.um2c.nl

At over 1k for this thing, I'd much rather invest in a laptop or tablet computer.

The form factor just isn't appealing IMHO, that goes for the stylus too. Just because you can make a stylus out of a phone doesn't mean it's a good idea ;)

The shape of this to come:
Things get smaller, not larger.
Well designed, not faster (look at Nvidia)

I want a literal Pocket PC. Not a thing the size of both my hands put together. I'll take a laptop and a cell phone if I wanted to care something that big around.

I mean aside from that, how comfortable do you think people are going to be talking into their Pen(Stylus)?

I'd be worried someone would mock me and pickup their coffee mug and start talking into that too.

"Just put down the stylus..."

Ok, that's just dumb. Talking directly into your pocketpc is better? I'd much rather be holding a stylus talking to it. People won't think anything of it, it's called technological advances. That's like saying people think you're weird for being on the internet 5 years ago.

yeah, like that stupid show, what is it? oh, Get Smart. did people ever talk into their shoe? no. but 50 years later, Portable phones without wires are the norm. think about it.
