cant connect my ipaq to nokia 8210 with infrared

Help<br>I cannot make a connection between my ipaq en nokia 8210 through infrared.<br>Do I need some additional software.<br>At the moment im using Sunnysoft GSM manager but this wont get those two connected.<br>Can somebody help me out!!
