I was how do I soft reset my Ipaq? How do I hard reset it? The manual said poking a button on the bottom will reset the Ipaq, but I wasn't sure if that was soft or hard reset.

That's a soft reset.
To hard reset it, slide open the little door on the other side of the bottom of your iPaq with your stylus. Very carefully use the tip of your stylus to flip the switch you see inside that door. Be very careful and don't use much pressure. Many people have broken that switch, which of course would require you send your iPaq back. After you flip that switch press in on the soft reset button for a few seconds. Then flip the little switch back and close the door. That's a hard reset, and you'll lose everything on your device. It will be like it was when you took it out of the box.

Dan East

I motion that Village Ideot is never promoted to Member, but stays always as a Newbie. Who will second that?

Well it's been seconded. It's on the table for discussion. The pro's? Everyone would know of Village Ideot's lack of knowledge before he makes a post. The con's? uhm... err. He might dislike it? The pro's? We could have another good laugh, similar to that of Dr. Phat's *poof* situation. The con's? Uhm... err. He might become disgruntled and leave? Well, those sure do balance each other out~~~~~
I say we demote Village Ideot back to newbie for ever and ever, amen.
