Win32 Emulator!! Yeah!

I know this sounds overly hilarious, but what about a Win98,95,NT... emulator? I know it will run hilariously slow, that is if it's possible, but then people won't be bugging other people saying "can you port this and that." For all you people who keep saying "I want Counter-Strike for my PPC!", this may be your choppy chance. Half-Life requires 133Mhz, and the Casio and iPAQ have more than that. It may work, you never know.

You don't emulate an OS, you emulate the hardware it runs on. I have a working Pentium emulator which I need to do more work on before I release it. Believe me, you aren't going to be doing any serious gaming on a Pentium emulator running on the current family of Pocket PC's. More details are in .

Dan East

Last modification: Dan East - 05/30/01 at 14:40:17

Hey, if you get the Pentium emulator working well, there will be no more porting, you can just install games as if on a normal pc. Of course fitting a CD on my Casio may be a tad difficult, I can still put older smaller games on it. Hey, would Wolfenstein 3D work on the Pentium emulator? That would be sweet!

Wow, does this mean my iPAQ can ActiveSync with itself?

While I'm not hoping to edit photoshop documents on my iPAQ, I *do* hope to at least be able to convert them to a jpeg file so that I can then use/edit it in PocketArtist.

Having that sort of power in your pocket would seriously come in handy.

Last modification: 999 - 05/31/01 at 14:56:37

Yeah, I'm looking for something to do quick conversions too. PocketArtist does come in handy, even though it doesn't support layers.
