I bought a HP 520 and I like it. I bought it in Germany (I live there for the moment). How easy is it to change the operating system to english? Is it just to "flash" it in?...

Thanks

Nope, Jornada´s OS is ROM - this means that you cant delete it to install a different version. Sorry.

The iPAQ can flash it's ROM, so, yes. It is possible to upgrade the Compaq iPAQ.

Yep, the iPAQ´s rom is flash. I heard that is possible to get its new rom on the site and upgrade it to english. BUT, I´m not sure so I think you should check Brighthand or PDABuzz sites for some more information.

either way, nope you can't change the language. Hrmm... i don't understand why they didn't put flash rom on all our ppc's, sounds like a relatively simple solution to upgrading instead of buying a new one.... *cough* money grubbing whores *cough*. casio's cool, but they aren't one to let any money slip through the crack.

Don't trust a sales person unless you know him and have a good relationship with them. "Sales professionals" at retail stores will say just about anything to make the sale and anything else they can load you up with.

A reputible sales person that you know might make suggestions for additional products and often give documentation for what they believe to be true of particular products... don't be surprised if they tell you they don't know and need to look it up. its the sign of someone who cares about what they are doing.
