Request for Beta testers (won't take much time)...<br><br>Hello all.  I am looking for some people willing to test something for me... I finally got around to writing an actual installer for the software my little company is releasing and I'd like to get some people to try it out for me.  If you are willing to do so, you can download the file at:<br><br>http://www.omnytex.com/it/InstallTest.exe<br><br>It's a short (60k) self-extracting ZIP that should look just like most other software installations.  It should install a small Hello World-type program on your PocketPC with an icon in the Programs folder.  You can remove it via the Remove Programs control panel applet when your done.  Please direct any comments or problems, including success stories, to me at fzammetti@omnytex.com<br><br>I thank you very much in advance for your help!

It works, but it seems a bit slow (maybe just because I've got so many apps installed...). But the installation is fine

ummm, what is it installing you could just be like hitting everyone with a virus or somethin

it's a self-extracting zip-file and a setup.exe is run then. it copies a 'lil app to your ppc saying "If you can read this it probably worked"

Thanks for the feedback shapeshifter!  I'm guessing the speed is exactly what you thought, having a lot of apps installed.  I haven't heard any speed-related problems thus far.<br><br>Your right Chuck, it could be a virus.  It isn't, but that certainly is probably the reason I haven't gotten too many people to try it!

Will do Chris.  I appreciate the time people are taking to try this for me, I've already uncovered one relatively minor problem for Jornadas that I never would have discovered without the input.  Thanks all!

Sure Chuck, I understand.  I've been in this game a LONG time, you learn to tell when someone is just having some fun and when they really ARE going to hack into TRW's system and take care of your credit problems forever (since you won't be getting credit after that!)
