the powerpoint viewer is still in beta. there are a few powerpoint solutions that are you coming out very soon. Conduits is also working on one.

I wouldn't even bother with powerpiont 4 the pocket pc because it is very limited to what it can do!

Well, if you only wanted to view the Power Point presentations, u could try saving them as webpages and then copying those contents onto your PPC. I do not know how well it would work though--i guess depending on the javascript support. I do know that I had problems viewing them on IE on a PowerPC..but then that computer may not have had functions disabled since it was on a clinic's network.

if it's a simple slideshow-type-presentation, you can also get Peter's Viewer for free @ [url]ce.syntact.fi[/url] and make jpegs or bitmaps with a size of 240*320. Put them to a new folder and just switch between them in the viewer. Simple and it doesn't cost you a penny :)
