The Japanese version sells on eBay for $350, US model street price is at least double.
Does anybody have experience with the Japanese version?
Can it be converted to English WinCE 3.0?
I think it can run English applications if you can navigate the Japanese OS.

nope never tried it; nope cant change the OS; and yup, you can run English apps, but I have no idea if they look good, I'm sure theres a patch. I use Jap apps al the time and i get silly little boxes instead of words :)

Jason,
Japanese character set is a superset of the English character set,
so this should not be a problem. What kind of Japanese applications
do you use and how do you cope with the parts you could not read?

I use the Timidity GM player Port all the time. I used to use a lot of Mono Qs stuff before he translated them to English. It's pretty easy to know where simple menu things should be like: File- open, save, exit; everthing else is just guessing and memorizing :)
