This may be a stupid question but doesn't the ppc require drives for any pcm card you want to use? And do cards like that linksys one have pocket pc drivers available?

Some card will work without installing drivers such as certain modem cards. Other cards do require drivers, and they have to be PocketPC specific drivers, so if there arent any PocketPC drivers for the card it wont work. The linksys needs drivers, and there are some for the PocketPC, I am not sure where though.

Linksys EC2T, Linksys Etherfast 10/100 PCM100, and Linksys NP10T have been reported to work [with WinCE]. They require driver name ne2000 and there's a beta driver for WinCE 2.0 for the and one for the . I don't know anything about the NP10T but the other two don't have drivers written specifically for PocketPC's. In THEORY, they could work. I guess.

I haven't tried this with my Linksys that I have (which is an Etherfast), but I can tell you that it does not work "straight-out-of-the-box". So eventually I will try out this driver though I have my doubts. Even if it IS developed by Linksys itself.
