It does, but there is no button for fast running (for 'jumping') so you cant get past level 1...
they have to be in the same folder as the exe!

You need the GAPI library (gx.dll) in your Windows folder.

Dan East

I made a small one room map with wad author and it contains a start point and a SS trooper, it runs fine on doom2 on the pc but when i try to run it on doom4ce on my pocket pc (ipaq)(which I have the doom2 wad installed on) it begins to load and then quits out to the today screen. Anyone know why this happens? PLEASE HELP i cant figure this out for the life of me.

Sure, I'll help you, Jimmy sucks my balls. He implemented the custom wad file playing horribly, and 97% of all custom wads for Doom or Doom II will NOT work with doom4ce. And Jimmy has kindly offered absolutely no help or support on this subject and just chooses to ignore it. Trsut me, many have already tried.

Yeah, I was pretty burned when I found that out last year. I was damn excited about Doom on my PPC at the time (this was pre-Quake).

Shortly after discovering that Jimmy sucks Jaybots balls, I removed Doom from my PPC. What good is it if it can't play custom maps?

I have Doom4CE on my PPC, and it works fine. I play it all the time. I run the doom2.wad, and when I finish it, I'll put on the Doom.wad (Doom 1). And for you people who are "new-skool", there's NEVER BEEN JUMPING IN DOOM! That's like saying "of course you can look up and down in Wolfenstein!" From Doom 1 to Final Doom, the ONLY differences have been new levels, not anything with the engine. Doom III is just a little different...

You are so, so, so poorly mistaken, bub. I'm glad that you decided to read the entire thread through, and then proceeded to respond with a well informed opinion on the subject.~

Maybe im not well informed either but i read the thread twice, and Shape sure made it sound like he thinks that doom has a jump Key(It sounds like this from the bitching about the port lacking it) wich it never did, so why bitch if your just genrally saying doom has no jump key?
Did that make sense?
