If I'm not mistaken, SD stands for Secure Digital, and it's supposed to be another storage "medium". Can anybody else give him a better anwser here?

It includes some digital rights managment crap so you cant put on unauthorized mp3s or the like.

sd cards can store 1gig without the need of a md

sd can only store 128mb right now... not 1gb... cf can now store 1gb in solid state...
