I received this today. This one actually caught my eye, because all they are doing is selling a guide to ripping and encoding DVDs (probably to DivX) for $40. Ha ha! Here it is:

Why Spend upwards of $4000 on a DVD Burner when we will show you an alternative that will do the exact same thing for just a fraction of the cost?

You heard us right - for the price of just 2 DVD's, we'll show you how to back up and/or create Your Own DVD's!

Just upgraded to a DVD and still have a ton of VHS tapes lying around? With this program, not only can you burn & copy any DVD you've created, you'll also be able to transfer all your VHS tapes to DVD format as well!!

Our cutting edge package includes the following features:

Step-by-Step Manual that will walk you through the process of how to burn ANY DVD you create as well as how to convert ALL your VHS tapes over to DVD format!

No DVD Burner required

All you need is a computer with a CD-R or CD-RW drive, and a DVD drive installed (standard on most computers out today).

Instant Downloadable Packet and step-by-step instructions (no waiting in the mail for product to arrive)

Technology is advancing and while most people don't know about this, now is your chance to capitalize on this incredible software package that will do the exact same thing a $4000 DVD burner does at just a fraction of the cost!

Is this as good as it seems? ABSOLUTELY!

Um, they forgot to mention that you have to go out and buy extra hardware to capture video from a VCR.

I see that blasted advert about 5-6 times a day. Almost as bad as that X10 crap.

Weird... After using a Yahoo account for roughly 3 years, i still haven't got a single 'adult' spam email... Might just be someone who gave your email to one of the spam companies. Or maybe they have a list of known perverts... :D :D

I setup a hotmail account just for the sake of using MSN Messenger. I have never used that email account, or provided it to anyone. All of a sudden I started receiving a few junk mails on it a day (you know how the box pops up with MSN messenger to tell you new mail has arrived). So Microsoft must be selling those addresses to mailing lists. I have noticed that they have stopped in the last couple weeks. Most likely because that mail box is full. :)
