When I installed the Clie 360 It loaded a Palm Desktop for my handheld, ( like an address book)
How do I tranfer My Contact list from Outlook into the the palm desktop or from, the clie into the Palm Dekstopsoftware?
So far I cannot get the Palm Desktop to accept a format that the it needs..
Is there a Program which will do what I need?
Also, If I can get this into the Palm Desktop, can I edit the records from that, and get it into my Clie? If not I wonder why Sony even has this program on the disk if it will not work.

The very fact that performing this operation is tricky proves the PPCs status as a user-friendly device. Try exporting your outlook files to a CSV file and importing that into Palm Desktop.
BTW As has been noted, this is a PPC forum dedicated to users of REAL pdas. Please post your messages in a Palm-dedicated messageboard, like those find on Brighthand, etc.
Sorry

No biggie.

Hey, if you're a new Pda user, i'm assuming that you just bought your Clie. Trust me, return it while you still can. They are underpowered and overpriced compared to PPCs, just have a look around at software available. PPCs can play Quake 1 & 2, Doom, Snails, RocketElite, etc, while Palms can play... um... er... not much. Believe me, you'd thank me for it!

I remember when I was a newbie to PDA's. I first read about them in a PC magazine. I did a little research and read a few reviews of different PDAs. I had about 400 hundred bucks to spend, so I could not buy anything higher than that. This was before PPC 2002, so my choices were slim. I could not afford a 530 dollar IPaq, and all the reviews I read never mentioned the Casio devices (they were lousy magazine reviews). So I bought a Jornada 525 for 350 bucks from staples. I had it for 1 day and the sync cable broke! So I returned it for a new one. After about a week, I was not impressed at all with the 256 color screen, and they had the Jornada 548 for only a 100 bucks more. But that would have cost 450 bucks, and I did not have that much. When I went back to staples I saw all of the cool games packs for Palm, and I almost returned my Jornada for a color Palm!! Luckly a man who turned out to be a true savior to me, who worked at staples, swayed me from buying a Palm. I ended up finding a deal for a brand new Jornada 547 with a Stowaway keyboard and a USB power cradle for $398.99 at Costco! I emediatly returned my Jornada 525 at staples for cash and bought the Jornada 547 at Costco. Several months later when I became more educated about PPCs I realized how limited my Jornada 547 was. But its way better than a Palm, and I thank the gods of PDAs for that wise man at Staples who did not deliver me into the hands of the evil Palm! Die Palm, Die!!

Damnit! That anonymous post above is mine. I have a cookie disabler on this comp and when I got disconnected and I reconnected it logged me out. Hey Dan, could you fix that?

Although comparing the Palm to the PPC is like comparing apples and oranges, if you are short on the $$$ to make the jump to PPC, you should find a way to scrape up the extra money; rob a liquor store, mug a lawyer, impersonate a baptist preacher... whatever it takes.
