How about a situation if I choose to upgrade ppc2k with service pack1 or straight to ppc2k2, is there any way to get back to original ppc2k?

to hard reset open the door on the bottom of the ipaq using the stylus and flip the little switch off and then on. YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR PROGRAMS, so backup before hand. As far as upgrading, you can get your old rom back if you back it up first. There is an option to back it up when you install ppc 2002.
