i've seen it before, but it still doesn't cut it for me. It can look pretty, but it doesn't have the guts to really topple the power of a PPC. Plus with xScale around the corner, I think Palm is finally behind the curve, and rapidly falling off the back of the wave.

lol, they mention herbie was there... but why?
neways, those clie's are pretty cool, the current models as well, but I think i'll stick to my iPAQ.
It sure has a lot of features, I wonder how sony manages to stuff it all into one device, it really doesn't look that big.

Finally behind the curve? Super Secret Girl Organizer 2300 is more powerful than a palm. And hey look, voice recognition!
But I hope, for the designer's sake, that that Clie sells a whole lot. It looks kick ass, I bet it functions very well, too.

The swivel screen looks scary to me...wouldn't want to spend $500 just to have the screen snap off at the swivel

That thing is sturdier than a laptop's screen, trust me. Just don't act dumb with it.

yeah if it wasnt for the video/multimedia capabilities of the ppc..... that thing just could have made me switch....... but until then....

good point randall, it is bulky and I took note of that. I simply posted it to show what a nice piece of design work it is. I am in no why inclined to switch to Palm by a long shot, hell even if its specs were better I'd still keep my pocket pc cause I like it better. My point was there a re a ton of palm users who don't buy ppc's for one reason or another. Maybe they don't realize they exist or they are scared of anything that will let them do more than store addresses. The point being a lot more morons will now buy this device which will only support palm more and hurt PPC sales.

The funny thing about that palm picture i posted was that it was only dropped from a 3 foot hieght onto a carpet floor

. I think palms should be around (its what got me to switch to ppcs

i had an old palm III btw

)
