I don't know exactly what hh_dm.exe does, but if it is not running, then your iPaq can take up to 15 seconds to turn off after pressing the power button.

I also don't know what the flashman execs do. Devices with more than one storage card will have two instances running. I assume cflashman is for the CF slot, aflashman for the MD slot. My 3630 only has flashman.exe running. It may be used for "autorunning" storage cards cards that are specially configured, similar to way some CD-ROMS automatically run certain programs when they are inserted into your PC. Try experimenting to see if that is the case.

ari_eng.exe may serve a similar purpose for autorunning storage cards. I searched the net and couldn't seem to find any details on these programs either.
