TMPGEnc is best... The reason the episodes are playing slower is that they are full 4:3 resolution (320x240). The clips here are "widescreen" usually 16/9 (320x180 with 4 horizontal pixels clipped to make 320x176).

The more pixels, the more processing it takes to display it on the screen.

Are you encoding portrait or landscape?

Have you tried using QuickTime Pro 5 for doing the re-encoding. If its already in the resolution that you need it... I've found it works great. You will need a registration key to use that feature though. I do have a registration key that I found on the web, and would be more than happy to post. If someone could let me know if thats allowed in these forums and I'll do it.
