Ever noticed that the "HOT" games go in and out of retail stores within a year, but I have yet to walk into any computer store and not see a TON of Card Games(the same ones that have been there for years).
Shelf space must still be worth it for them.

Its funny, I bet you in some cases the card games have a lot more AI code in them, than a lot of the shoot-em-ups.

Although, you do have to have a fairly large Solitaire Suite to make a good go in that niche...(except maybe the rule breaker FREECELL).

And just to let you know, I don't really care about swearing. It's John that's the edgy one (he's the same age as me...)
