There are Java VMs available for the iPAQ for sure, perhaps this could be interesting:

I'm not sure, but I think you'll have to buy it.

I have used on my 3630. I don't know how much of the "real" java API it supports. It seems I also tried another JVM which I can't remember the name of. That was a couple years ago.

but where can i download personaljava? on the official site there are only specifications and sh3/mips versions available to download :[
