There's nothing unbelievable in someone porting a PSX emulator for PPC, although it still might be a hoax. If he makes this work it will already be out when the new generation of PPCs come. The sooner the better.
For example ARM11, which can achieve speeds over 1GHz is not far away (first releases sometimes Q4 this year), would very well be able to play PSX even in software acceleration.
Well, we'll see.

hahah 70mhz processor!! haha, you wish, if the PSX had a 70mhz processor, all the games would look way better. Just so you know, the PSX had a , i think , 33-36mhz cpu. which is very emulatable!, the problem is the Gfx Chipset, which had i think, 1mb VRAM, it might have been 512k though and 1mb RAM. Dunno... A Psx emulator would run nicely on a PocketPC, if it was using the ATI imageon, or PowerVR MBX, as my 233mhz Pentuim w/ 32mb RAM and 2mb VRAM can emulate a PSX perfectly at 320x240!!
