No the RTS wont be a full-blown heavy rts game, but more a nintendo-cute-graphix style, so that the action bits blends in. Short levels with a high fun factor (i hope).
I agree on your 'tip', but its more heartbreaking to cut out certain elements out of the game after 6 months of development time, then to cut it from the design, in early look & feel testing fases...
