As most of you know I have a Jornada 525.
Sturdy as a brick, and just as slow, it has been a constant companion on all those bus rides home. I feel like I a new PPC for my needs (Time waster, organizer, and Word documents all at the same time)

For the same price as I can sell my Jornada ($150), I can get a Casio E-125. Good deal? Any problems with owners of one? I need some opinions. Thanks

Well, it's a step up. Go for it, unless you can manage an ARM device of course.

not bad for the money

if you could get the E-125 that cheap I would go for it. The screen is much better, and there is slightly more support for games, repeat slightly.
These things are pretty sturdy too. I have dropped mine a couple of times with no problems. They are a little bigger that the Jornadas, but I can live with that.
I wouldn't trade my E-125 for a Jornada 525 for anything. I do plan on upgrading to an X-scale device, but not for a while, not until they iron some kinks out, and my device won't do what i need it to do anymore.
Good luck with your decision.

Well, I like my e-125. The only complaint I can think of is don't plan on using the infared port for anything. It won't connect to my pc, and others have reported trouble with it too.

The device is rather thick and heavy, and the styling is so-so, but you can learn to like it :)
I believe it is also a fair bit faster than the SH3 pocket pcs, like your jornada. I can actually play quake at an okay speed on optimized maps, and most other games I have tried are fast enough.

And the screen is very nice. It is reallly bright, vibrant and crips. There only 2 minor issues (for me): in bright sunlight it is washed out and hard to see, and in very, very dark conditions the screen is so bright that it strains my eyes (!) Most of the time, it is great.

I think you should NOT get an E-125. I have one and it's great, 2 years ago. Save your money, don't waste it, because buying an E-125 would be wasting it. There is about zero software being released for them. They run an old OS. So they're not good for new games at all. And if all you want is PIM then the Jornada 525 is the best device for PIMing.
