Hi,

I've read the boards here along with a few other sites, all while trying to gather as much information on PPCs as possible. I'm a college student looking to get a PPC to use to take/write notes on, PIM features, and of course a little gaming and multimedia here and there. I'm disabled and its hard for me to manipulate a laptop, so a PPC with a portable keyboard would be my best options I think. I've narrowed my choices down to an iPaq 3950 or toshiba e740. I'm leaning towards the e740, with the built in slots and wifi which my college uses. I know the ipaq has a nicer screen, and while I'd like to play a little video here and there, I have a portable dvd player for that. Anyways any suggestions or comments would be welcome, and thank you for your time.

I'm not sure if a portable keyboard is made for the Toshiba e740, actually :/

If you want to be sure you have accessories, go with the ipaq.

I'd go with the iPAQ... the screen's supposed to be amazing and the Consumer IR + Nevo looks intriguing.

The screen is amazing (saw it when buying my maestro) and a lot of the accessories pop up for ipaqs and for nothing else for some reason

At least VI was smart enough to not type it all in one big word. Even if he was joking.

Meh.

Well just FYI, I just bought an iPaq 3950 and I am loving it. The screen is so awesome. It's as good indoors as my Casio E-125's was. It's pretty fast too. I can't compare it to other ARM 206mhz units since I have never owned one, but I'm sure that any slowdown that is experienced will be resolved by Compaq/M$. And I must say the Consumer IR port is killer. I do kinda wish the Nevo software allowed you to make your own buttons, but oh well. The Remote Control program from PDAwin allows you to do that, I know.
