Worked for me. However, it took a long time to load (and I'm even on DSL).

The final release has three game modes : race, shooter and survival (the new mode, which is most various). There is unlock scheme not only for track, but for cars too. Also sounds and the whole soundtrack is changed (the new soundtrack contains 12 new songs with thematic elements for most of the tracks). There is also intro / outro clips
And of course possibility to post your scores to Internet top 100 (for each game mode and for each game difficulty - generally 9 rank lists).
