Ok i use to have an ipaq, but it craped out on me after warantee and i didnt have a job to get it fixed or buy a new one. Well i just got a new job and i have decided to purchase a new ppc. I ahvent really been in the ppc to much since the ppc2k2 came out.

So i know you guys probably hear this alot but what is the best ppc to purchase right now. I was thinking that toeshiba 740 but i dont really want it due to it playing games slower since its got that 16 buffer to the screen. So what is a good ppc pick at the moment? Maybe you guys know of something that is comeing out soon i should wait on? The only catch is it HAS to have a cf slot so i can use my old cf card and nic. I was looking at the nokia communicator but its more of a novelty i guess.

If the drivers they are releasing manage to effectively use the ATI chipset in the e740, it will smoke any ppc out now in pq1-2. But you never know what suprises the ARM6 processor is going to dish out. Ive also heard good things about the Audiovox Maestro. CF and SD slots too. Get it if your low on cash.

The Imageon drivers won't do anything for GAPI based games, since they are directly accessing the display memory. To benefit from any kind of acceleration (even blits), you need to use an API to access the driver functionality. This API simply doesn't exist yet and will most probably be proprietary.
