Bloomin' Heck, I did not expect this much response and thankfully it is not all negative!!
Let me explain, the name PurplePecker was conceived in a pub with my girlfriend - now my wife. We both love the color purple and wanted something to go with it, all the best options had been taken (PurpleSoftware etc). Whilst we were pondering a friend came to join us with a picture of a woodpecker on his T-Shirt, the rest is history.
As for trying the adult market, yes I was hoping that sex sells. I am currently in the process of packing and moving back to my home town. Tomorrow is my last day of full-time work and I would love to make a living from pocket pc's, but sales of my non-adult titles will not feed my family

. Yes, SwapZee is a simple tile swapping game but in my opinion it has a graphically pleasing interface and a great sound track with good sound effects. All the decent technology is used (C++, FMOD, GAPI, InstallShield etc) and for $4.95 I believe it to be excellent value for money.
Naked models, what can I say.... you gets what you pay for and I did not pay a lot!! You try getting good looking models to take ALL their clothes off after telling them that they are going to be in a computer game and I am going to plaster her image all over the internet in a bid to sell my games!!
As for my programming capabilities I thank TechMage for defending my honour. I can not claim to be better than Dan East, Digby or Refractor simply because they answer my questions when I get stuck, I have yet to answer one of there questions

If you want to see what I am capable of then look to CascataGames.com. Using their design and graphics I wrote CubeHead for them and am currently working on a space shooter called AstroWarrior which features 2 levels of parallax scrolling, an infinite universe, great weapon powerups and excellent game play, along with the cool graphics provided by Cascata and a superb sound track composed by Hasen.
I do have the greatest respect for AIM Productions. I have looked to them for inspiration especially for future adult titles, if there are going to be any. I have nearly finished SpunkInvaders which has a lot of humour but have halted development whilst I finish AstroWarrior and consider my place in the Pocket PC software market.
PurplePecker started out developing application software for Pocket PC's mainly because I have an application programming background (since 1988). Games are more challenging to write and give me a greater sense of satisfaction . I have a few ideas for applications which I want to write, but for the meantime I have to finish AstroWarrior.
When all said and done I am in this for the money. I love coding, it is my favorite state of mind and it is what I do best. If anyone wishes to contact me regarding future work, be it applications or games then please email me at purplepecker.com.
Thanks again for your responses and for reading this mini-novel
