Yes, sponge is correct. The DELL is ONLY SD, it is NOT SDIO.
SD is an acronym for "Secure Disk", a certain kind of memory format, much like Compact Flash, MMC, or Sony's MemoryStick. This provides memory read and write functionality
SDIO stands for "Secure Disk Input/Output." With SDIO one can do just about anything with an SDIO port. Bluetooth only works in SDIO, 802.11b. With SDIO one can install a digital camera, or a VGA card. A Modem, a network. Everything is possible with SDIO, and it works with memory, too.
Of course CompactFlash is natively IO capable. SDIO requires more hardware pins and bus gateways.
