I think SDIO, but only because I believe Microsoft is enforcing an SDIO standard in PocketPCs

The Dell is NOT SDIO COMPATIBLE! They felt it wasn't needed as there is also a CF port.

Yes, sponge is correct. The DELL is ONLY SD, it is NOT SDIO.

SD is an acronym for "Secure Disk", a certain kind of memory format, much like Compact Flash, MMC, or Sony's MemoryStick. This provides memory read and write functionality

SDIO stands for "Secure Disk Input/Output." With SDIO one can do just about anything with an SDIO port. Bluetooth only works in SDIO, 802.11b. With SDIO one can install a digital camera, or a VGA card. A Modem, a network. Everything is possible with SDIO, and it works with memory, too.

Of course CompactFlash is natively IO capable. SDIO requires more hardware pins and bus gateways.

I think SD actually stands for Secure Digital.

Anyway, I think it's pointless for the Dell to have SDIO considering it also has CF.

Except that if it were SDIO I could have a bluetooth SDIO card and a CF 1GB Microdrive or a camera or gps or anything else that's CF.
