ActiveSync disconnects

I just got a Pocket PC (a Toshiba e330 XScale) and ActiveSync often disconnects for no apparent reason. I have to get the PDA out of the cradle and reinsert it to make it sync again. Sometimes it's even worse and I have to reboot the computer to get things working (or else Windows reports a USB problem). In all cases the PDA continues to work normally, but it can't sync. I use the USB cradle that comes with the PDA and ActiveSync 3.6. I never use 3.5 though, so I don't know if it was better. Is there any solution to this problem?

a problem similar to this i had but with a jordy 568 and only after the euu3 update. it would sync then give a connection error about 1/2 way through and instantly disconnect. for some odd reason this wouldent happen when connected as a guest  ... i e-mailed hp and they stated the obvious (soft-reset, reinstall active sync, etc...) none of which worked. so connected as a guest and did a full backup. hard-reset my device, and installed the backup. for some odd reason this worked. give it a try.

Ive heard that it was an ActiveSync problem when using a USB connection. It happens to me sometime. If you can stand it and you can do it, connect using a serial connection. No mysterious drops.
