They use a LOT more battery than regular CompactFlash or SD memory cards. They'll cut your battery life down by a quarter, if not by half! I had one in my old Casio E-125, the 1GB version. It was very nice, never broke nor skipped or anything bad. But it really took out my battery. A Microdrive coupled with WiFi... VERY bad idea. Just get a large CompactFlash memory card.

With my CF WiFi card, I've barely noticed a battery drop. Stick with 512MB solid state CF (can be had somewhat cheaply now) and you should have quite a media collection on there. Half of mine is filled with programs, and I've still fit 5 15 minute TV episodes of Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and 28 music videos (very good video, near perfect audio)

kpxgq, If you're interested, I'm selling my e740.

What country do you live in?

(The e740 I'm selling also includes an extended battery, which will significantly increase battery life for multimedia playback and games).
