Whats a 'minimum' spec

Hi,
I am looking into buying a pocket pc to play some old games (samnmax, dott and some mame items).
Is there a minimum spec for a system?
I'm currently looking to spend 200-300 GBP, however will this be enough.

More to the point anyone have any suggestions?

(I don't care about app's, I'll stick to my Palm for general stuff for now!).

I'd say that the games will run fine on any current device, as they run well on my 2 years old Ipaq 3630 (200 MHz) btw I think ScummVM runs on some Palm devices too
