I know that the 0.3 builds are noticeably slower (mainly because the ScummVM core switched to C++ which created more indirections in the code, and same goes for the new iMuse system) - I think that this is going to get better in the new versions (the iMuse code is already faster in the current CVS), and I'll spend some time to do some real profiling for a next release, once the code base is stable
and for the Sam'n'Max bug, well, I'm still waiting for a saved game ... lots of reports but no saved game yet
