Suddenly and without warning the developers began speaking in tongues.

Only joking. ;)

(a bit off topic) This talk about SDL caught my eye. I want to try to port (an open-source Ultima 7 game engine which uses SDL) to PPC. I believe it uses SDL for everything because it's supposded to be fairly straightforward to port to any platform suppoted by SDL.

Would it be hard to get the rest of SDL working on pocket pc?

The thing is, I'm don't have a clue about programming in C++, olny some VB experience, and some free time :)

Good work with Pocket SCUMM, arisme: It sounds pukkah! Makes Monkey Island 2 even more fun to play!

Although i have noticed that, apart from the slower playback, some of the music starts at the wrong time (eg. The title screen music is meant to start when the Lucasarts title comes up, not halfway through the monkeys dancing in MI2)

Another thing: On your website, you've noted that MI2 is 'completeable'. Has this been tested? I have noticed a few posts saying that it has previously crashed in Stan's shop. Anyway once again, Great work!!

NEW SOUND VERSION does not work on my IPAQ

Postby Nikolai » Feb 1, 2002 @ 4:24am

Well I don't know what's going on. The old pocket summ worked just dandy w/o sound. The new ones. I tried both ARM versions for my color 64 meg (w/2 gig storage card) IPAQ, and neither of them work.

I get an error message-"Cannot find pocketsumm or one of its components"

So I'm out of luck.

Any ideas?
Nikolai

Cool, gonna try that - Downloading source now. Any news as to when we're getting hardware buttons for left+right mouse buttons? Sorry to ask, but i'm getting impatient! Would it also be an idea to make a toolbar button or hardware button for pressing the "." key to skip dialogue?

Once again, cheers for the good work on SCUMM!
