Calling Alpha testers before the next release !

OK, here's an update on running Full Throttle:

With the MIPS Test3 version, the intro plays! :)
The video is pretty smooth, and the speech is also steady without skipping. The music skips a little, but better than the older version. Better than I was expecting on my old Casio. In a few spots a character is suppsted to say something, but you don't hear it. You only see the subtitle. No big deal though, it only happens two or three times over the whole intro.

Once the intro is over, though, you can't do anything. Once you tap on the dumpster the game quits without any warning. Oh well, at least the intro works.

esw> right, I'm getting a "Error: Value 14 is out of bounds (0,10) int script(2000) msg Illegal box %d!" with the desktop version - reporting that

core321> seems that Zak Mc Kracken is buggy for the menu - I'll fix that - did you test it with other games and did it lock up after displaying the keyboard ?

trying anyway

Postby Guest » Nov 22, 2002 @ 1:07am

Usually when I try to say something on PocketMatrix a mob of people explain to me why I'm a complete idiot, but I'm going to try again and prepare for another blasting. Are you aware of any problems with the VGA floppy version of Monkey Island? I have a copy of Monkey Island 1 that is VGA and came on a special CD containing several old games released with permission from the original authors. Based on the files I have, I have determined it is NOT the CD version, so I presume the only thing left it could be is the floppy version. When I try to open it with PocketSCUMM from storage card\monkey1vga, I get the following error message:

SCUMMVM ERROR !
Error(0: 0: 0x0): ask Cannot fi
nd `(null).000`!
