ScummVM/PocketScumm version 0.4.0 released !

Postby Arisme » May 12, 2003 @ 10:59pm

Hello Scumm fans

ScummVM version 0.4.0 has been officially released !

ScummVM main changes, from 0.4.0-pre versions

* New games supported (Monkey Island 1 EGA, Indiana Jones 3 EGA, Loom EGA) - be sure to check the compatibility list http://scummvm.sourceforge.net/compatibility.php

Monkey1 EGA must be put in a subdirectory called MonkeyEGA

Indiana Jones 3 EGA must be put in a subdirectory called Indy3EGA

Loom EGA must be put in a subdirectory called loom

* Misc bugfixes and improvements

PocketScumm main changes

* OGG music tracks supported - either 22 kHz or 11 kHz.
Note that music tracks encoded in 11 kHz are not compatible with the desktop ScummVM version but may be preferred if you have a slow device.
The tracks should be called Trackx.ogg begining at Track1.ogg

* Experimental Curse of Monkey Island support.
I need your help on this one ... it's locking up at some point (I'm trying to figure the problem), but any feedback on how things are displayed is welcome.

Umm, GAPI_J820 is only designed for the Jornada 820 HPC. :( If anyone has the details of the address of the framebuffer, etc on the Jornada 680, you/I can probably modify the gx.cpp in . DummyGX should support the Jornada 680 . If that URL doesn't work, try grabbing a version from

The Jornada 680 isn't even ARM. :) It has a SH3 processor. The only ARM HPCs are the Jornada 720 and 820.

GAPI720 ()for the Jornada 720 should work... Otherwise DummyGX might work. Ask the Jornada 720 owners. :)

no way to zoom the text, but you can play with the NUT files (fonts) - I don't remember which one is the biggest but if you copy it (overwritting) all other fonts then you'll always use this one for all texts :wink:
