Well, that is a tough one, really. It's definately a problem with your device. Go to Start/Settings/ and change all local options to Germany. Be sure to change the time zone, as well as currencies, etc. It has to be the correct version for Germany, be sure not to accidently pick Switzerland or Austria, as this would render your device useless. You have to do the same on your PC. Also, you need to have SP2 installed, in case you are running XP.
If you have an optical mouse, disconnect it. You will want to ensure that you activated the keyboard mouse first though. Look for that in the Input Help in XP.
Now, if you have a wireless keyboard, you are screwed. You might be able to get a regular one from a friend.
Once you boot up windows, you have to change your display resolution to 800*600, color depth must NOT be higher than 256. If your graphics card has a composite or S-Video output, you are lucky, because then you can use the full color depth.
Now get Firefox (www.firefox.com) if you do not have it already. Then go [url="http://www.lucasarts.com"]here[/url] and find your way to the "Kaufen"-section. Click "In den Einkaufswagen" and do as it tells you. You might want to use Babelfish (babelfish.altavista.com) if you can't understand the website.
In any case, once you get the new files, copy them to your PPC after a HARD RESET (find info on how to do that in the manual). At this point, reset your regional settings to English (US). If you run PocketSCUMM normally now, it should work.
Alternatively, you could just learn German.
