FULL THROTTLE?

FULL THROTTLE?

Postby Guest » Feb 4, 2002 @ 10:08pm

After pocketscumm is all ironed out for these
great games, might Full Throttle be added to
the list?

It's got lots additional technical issues, I know, the 3D images, the motorcycle engine for those side-by-side battles, not to mention the rock & roll score which might require better sound capability than that required for DOTT.

Maybe The Dig could be added more easily before undertaking something like FT.

I was just curious as to whether you guys are getting sick of all this work, or whether you plan to keep on once compatibility with these initial 5 games are utterly worked out and polished.

Maybe X-Wing. Just kidding, ha ha.

Thanks much for all you've done.

I can't believe I just posted the above ONLY to find that IMMEDIATELY BELOW IT was another virtually identical query. As Homer Simpson says, Doh!

And I've downloaded the FT version of pocket scumm.
Can't wait to get home from work and try it.
I see I should only load the sound and two main data files. Groovy. Thanks. You guys are great.

ScummVM isn't advanced enough to use the /DATA or /VIDEO sub-dir files in FT. You just need to copy the .SOU for speech and the two large LA0/LA1 (I think) files from the root.

Thanks

Thanks I'll try that.

It worked, very cool. Sadly though you can't save your game.

FT (and Grim Fandango) are the best Lucas Arts titles, I think so anyway.

Since you've gone this far with FT, I would love to see the entire thing up and running, with the cut scenes, music and save games.

Any chance of that happening?
