Day Of The Tentacle - Ultimate Thread!!!!!!

Day Of The Tentacle - Ultimate Thread!!!!!!

Postby Lance » Aug 10, 2002 @ 12:16am

Well I've owned Day Of The Tentacle for a few years and threw it in the shelf. Then I bought a BE-300 of a friend and downloaded PocketSCUMM 2.2 which works amazing. And ofcourse I wanted to play Day Of The Tentacle all over again, except my version is over 130MB in size (ouch!).

So I search for hours and finally found a site that not only offers a picture of every protection code for the game ( for the few who lost the manual :p ) and a free copy of the game compressed ( WITH TALKING :D :D :D ) thats under 8MB in size. It runs very smooth, has all the music and most of the dialogue.

So for anyone who hasn't tried the greatest Adventure game on earth... I present to you: DAY OF THE TENTACLE!!!
downlodable at:
http://www.lucasarts.com/companystore/tentacle/

go to the site and enjoy.

PS: It's illegal to do so if you haven't bought the game first!!! Don't cheat Lucasarts , they've been entertaining us for years.

hey umm lance. You see DOTT isnt 130 mb thats the music and speech. All you need is about 6-7 mb of files from the game. the .001 and .002 files are all you need. Please do not come in here and advertise warez (or abandonware in this case.). Btw you can compress the sound to mp3.

To be more specific Mike , it's 13MB for the full version of DOTT , and yes I am aware of that.

However the game does have speech for about every cut sequence.

And this is hardly warez, it's a site I found, not my own. It's called Abandonware which is a grey area I'll agree but I'm sure a few people can enjoy it, plus it's ideal for anyone who bought the game or lost the game and doesn't want to have to purchase it again.

yes but mentioning it here will just get this thread locked. I said this was abandonware but its just the same as warez only a differnt name.

First: off as Mike says abandonware is WAREZ. Second: you are an ididot for not following rules. Third: Lucas still supports DOTT so it’s, guess what? NOT abandoned!

Well Lance advertising Lucas warez on a ScummVM board is not the smartest thing to do - just in case you didn't notice, Lucas has been contacting the development team (see http://slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=02/0 ... ad&tid=127) and being associated with warez sites won't help us ...
