I'm working a bit on PocketScumm these days since a new official release of ScummVM will be available soon (with correct Sam&Max Adlib music, The Dig completable ... you can check http://scummvm.sourceforge.net/status.php for more information) - do you (or someone ) think that these slowdowns can be fixed by recompiling with evc 4 ? or another method ?

I have read that the problem lies on the operating system. Compaq has published a patch for this because these sounds you're expierienceing appear outside PcketScumm also...
