There have been at least 8 posts discussing the final release date for Snails 1.8. All that a final release date can do is get people angry at peter when the project is overdue.
Peter is working as hard as he can on Snails 1.8b7, and he WILL have it out soon. So cool it, and just wait. You may not have to wait for long...
