Yes these particular converstations are ridiculous, but only if they turn argumentive for the sake of argument. I am not the know-all end-all, but a little education never killed anyone. If you aren't open to being educated then why even bother reading it- go find something else to do.
This doesn't mean these ideals can't be challenged or valid questions can't arise. But let me tell you that I can't pigeonhole Art, and I don't expect anyone else can either. If it could, everything would reak of same-ness.
Once the concept is grasped, you begin to see the world differently. This is where Monet, Dali, Warhol and Picasso come in. Not to create "weirdness" just for the sake of being different. Rather they are showing the world, and what we understand, in a different way. If you get it, then it becomes glaringly obvious where Monet grabbed his violent splashes of colour, or Dali braided perception, fantasy and reality together.
