Did you use "Poser" for the people?

No, it isn't a bug. It is an extremely simplistic set of tools that I used in development.

Drag and drop one image at a time onto the BMP2ZBM.exe. This is basically THE ONLY WAY IT WILL WORK. The newly created ZBM should appear in the same directory as the original BMP. It doesn't overwrite the original BMP, so you'll have both files- BMP and ZBM.

Size only becomes an issue if it is WAY too big. These are the same tools I used to convert the weapons and characters as well, so it can handle smaller images.

Also, download the files I provided from "La Mere de Vos", if you need test images that are known to work.

In the event that somebody truly has paranormal behavior with their computer and it doesn't work, I have offered anyone to email me their files to convert in case the errors really reside within the tools.

Nobody has sent me their files.

OMG! Am i like the only person to have successfully converted a .bmp file?! Okay, lemme break it down for you: NO, there isn't a bug in the program. It DOES work with XP. And you only convert ONE file at a time, not two!

I know that XP doesn't always start the program correctly when you drag the bitmap on top. But, surely people are still familiar with the idea of command line parameters? There are loads of ways of passing parameters to a program but for simplicity's sake (without using command prompts, etc), try this:

1. Make sure you have the bmp's you wish to convert, in the same directory as BMP2ZBM.EXE.
2. Right-click BMP2ZBM.EXE and Create Shortcut
3. Right-click that shortcut you just created & select Properties
4. In the textbox called Target:, add the name of the .bmp you wish to convert, to the end of the sentence. It should look similar to this (although probably not exactly):

"C:\Snails\zbmtools\BMP2ZBM.exe" Whatever.BMP

Now run that shortcut and it will create a .zbm version of your bitmap! Repeat step 4 for each graphic you need to convert.

Not the way i would do it, but it's nice & simple for you to follow! (Maybe there should be a easier windows based program made...)

I have no idea why it freezes. My game freezed today, the aim and look buttons didnt work but everything else did. I just exited and made a new game and the prob was gone. Just wanted to aware the Snails team of that.
I also wanted to ask about T1's map. Its awesome but im wondering how you made the characters. Did you use a 3D modeler (3D Studio Max) and convert the file types, hand draw them and scan them, or just free-hand on the computer (insanely difficult to perfect) :) I would also be thankful from a response from the Snails team, I love some of the maps 8)
