You should not have to overclock a closed device like a PocketPC or laptop in order to run programs created for it. But if you do overclock then the time it takes snails to think would be SLIGHTLY, SLIGHTLY less.

I've got mine at 180MHz, it didn't like 200, plus I stripped all the screw holes so I decided it would be best to stop opening it up. Especially after I broke the backlight cable.

Not likely, as long as you don't get graphite on some other connectors and short circuit the thing or clip a ribbon or something. Just don't do something dumb, I don't know how else to explain it.
