I just read through your tutorial. I couldn't believe the quality and attention to detail. The screenshots were great- a nice variety of maps and splashscreens really showed off the variety of color and style.

This needs to be in a more prominent location, on both the Snails sites. I doubt I would have created anything as thorough, and yours doesn't need any editing.

You may want to look at 3.2.2 - Installing (custom levels) though, as the LEVELS.DAT file should be completely obliterated in favor of the .LEV format. Its unfortunate that so many levels have reference to the LEVELS.DAT file- all artists should consider updating their work. Otherwise I'll modify them and re-submit them.

This kind of commitment by a person of the community really means alot to the Snails team. How many other PPC games get complete manuals written up by a customer? And he's only 12 YEARS OLD.

I completely agree. I've never played Worms, so the gameplay in Snails wasn't something that I was familiar with. Now, Snails wasn't too hard to figure out, but this tutorial definitely enhanced my knowledge of the game and increased the level of enjoyment.

As for the .lev thing, I revised it a bit; it now includes instructions for versions 1.6 and 1.5 and a separate set for 1.7 and above. I've converted all the current levels into .lev files, and as soon as I get the chance I can submit them to the custom level site. And if you think that my tutorial is something, wait till you see what I've got planned for my Data File... detailed descriptions of everything; weapons, missions, etc. It might take a bit of a while, though

Whoa this is amazing, my gf's little brother who is 10 looked at the manual and is now playing very well on my iPAQ. I am now going to have to buy him a PPC device just so he can play Snails. I like the manual myself very well and am just amazed at the details in this.
