my 3d engine

here's a basic 3d engine built from scratch, on top of pockethal.



warning! i've only tested on ipaq 3600. and i'm not quite confident if i accessed frame buffer the proper way

looks great. Tried the PC version only. Will test on my Axim later. No background?

Looking good! bit slow on my device though

7 fps 200mhz
11 fps overclocked to 300mhz

yup, still very slow.

conan: no background - some of the screenshots shows the begining of a 3d map. but like i said, still slow (map + orge = 7fps). i'm still concentrating on finding the frame rates.

i just implemented today a sign-based zbuffer (as suggested by hmwill at another thread). i gained around 8fps!

ok, let me know if you want me to try the new version on my Axim. (I use PocketGL for my current game & it's impressive speed-wise but poor on texture quality).

What's your long term aim? Write a game using the engine ?

ps: Works fine on my Axim X5 400Mhz. Landscape mode at 9 FPS (sometimes drops to 8 on zooming)
