How do I get PNG on the Desktop?

Do any of you know how I can use PNGs on the Desktop? THe version I have doesn't support it. That seems crazy to me. If anything I would think it would be the other way around. It seems like it would be easy to have the desktop support PNG, seeing as it has so much compatibility anyway.

I agree that it "should" work on the desktop too. I think most people use libpng, since it's free. If you use VS2005 (or its emulators anyway) PNGs work.

You'll have to add your own support for sound, fonts and alpha-blitting. Most likely you can find links to all of those posted throughout this forum.
Otherwise, I'd have to say no. It really is a terrific library.
