Wow, so is it that no 2000 and 2002 programs are going to work with 2003? That is going to be really bad for MS if that is true. I don't even compile for 2002 right now I still target 2000 and it runs on both.

2K3 is backwards-compatible, but now you will be able to compile to target ARMv4 to get the benefits of it (or so we're told anyway). All previous ARM-based software will run, but with no added benefit that X-Scale is supposed to give.

I grabbed the 2K3 SDK as well as eVC++4, but I've not been able to get it to work. Very time I select 2K3 for the target, eVC locks up solid. Very annoying, I can't even run the emulator, which is what I really wanted to do, just to see what's new in there. Anyone have a similar problems and more importantly a solution?

Stupid me! Don't ask what I was thinking! It does work on the emulator! It still would be best to compile it for PPC2K3 though. Here it is! It's being stupid for me, so if you don't see it, try right clicking and telling it show picture:

... I thought that StrongARM was ARMv4 and XScale was ARMv5?

I could be wrong... I frankly never usually refer to them as ARMv whatever, dunno why I did this time around. I meant to say that 2K3 SDK gives you X-Scale native support (I guess it's technicall eVC++ 4.0 that does that).
