I believe you need to Set the parameter bMinimizeOnLostFocus in GDAPPCONFIG (winmain).

From the manual:
[OPTIONAL] Minimize application when focus is lost. Use this on Smartphones to minimize the application when an incoming phone call is received.

Thankyou soooo much Starfury. I had read the posts about this functionality having been added to GD since version 2 but it didn't seem to say how.

Thanks for answering but I clearly should have RTFM!! (and you probably should have told me to do just that!!)
