Palm Development using 3.01 BETA2

I spent several hours methodically tracking the problem down. (You're welcome.)

I still haven't solved it, but I currently believe the problem is related to starting from a copy of the sample project.

Therefore, I ask, were the samples created fresh or from copies? (I assume fresh.)

Secondly, I request DETAILED instructions on EXACTLY how to create a new GapiDraw BETA2 Palm project from scratch. I will try then this and see how it affects the problem.

This is a real issue for GapiDraw, since the problem is completely reproducible on my device (and also T3), and most real-world developers are going to do exactly what I did (not what VI does).

Johan, text drawing seems quite slow, on both the T3 and the E. Can you confirm this?

On the E, drawing a full screen image then a bunch of text over top of it (e.g. help screen) is less than 3 fps. On the T3 it's 12-14 fps. This is the slowest screen in the project I am working on.
