Yeah I agree. I was also a bit worried about the water, it needs a bit of a sheen to it... a reflective look.

As promised, I created ONE map for Argentum. I can't test it until I get the editing tools, but it is here nonetheless. Sorry if it is a little large, but I just wanted to ensure the size was accurate.

The texture map is 512x512, but since this is a JPG the color depth is not accurate.

Image

The heightmap is 256x256 greyscale, and again this one is a JPG so the color depth is not accurate.

Image

There isn't a clipping map yet.

This map did not make it into Argentum, but a polar icecap like this might look out of place anyway.

Once I get ahold of the editing tools, this map is subject to severe changes. This map is supposed to be a "down and dirty" battleground with very little room to build up your forces.

Randall, I can see how it would be hard to make the occupancy map. Without a map editor / viewer we can't even see how the texture will fall over the hightmap.

You think the ice caps would look out of place? I think it depends on the storyline. I just hope the Ionside team decide to include a skirmish mode where we can load maps so everyone’s unaccredited work (however good or bad) doesn't go to waste.

Very nice work though :)

Randall's artistic ability is sickening. Too bad that map didn't make it in. Although, compared to the style of the other maps (kinda simple and bland looking) they wouldn't quite fit in.
